BRASED
stands for Brazilian Cultural
Society
of Edmonton.
It
is a non-profit organization initiated by Brazilians and
friends who live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
BRASED was
established in April of 2005 with the mission to promote Brazilian
culture, and to integrate and help Brazilians who live in Edmonton
and in nearby towns.
We organize several events during
the year such as the Carnival party, Independence Day party, summer
picnic and Christmas party just to mention a few. Check out our
events photo gallery by clicking on the EVENTS tab. We also plan in
the future to participate in the annual
Edmonton Heritage Festival held during the summer, where
over 70 cultural associations set up tents to promote the culture and food of their
respective countries.
One
of
BRASED’s goal is to helps the community by being a centre of
information for Brazilians who live in Edmonton or anywhere else in
Canada.
BRASED
also can serve as an important information source for
Brazilians who intend to be living in Canada in the near future.
BRASED has links with the Brazilian Consulate in Toronto, and helps
disseminate important information from the Consulate pertaining
to Brazilians who live abroad.
We
encourage Brazilians and people interested in Brazilian Culture
to join and support our new Society. |
